The Experience

What a sound bath feels like

You’ll rest comfortably while layered tones from crystal bowls, gongs, chimes, and other instruments create a gentle “bath” of vibration. Many people experience a meditative state—like drifting between waking and sleep—where the body can soften and the mind can quiet.

Before we begin

You are invited to arrive 15-30 minutes prior to the session starting. Wear comfortable clothing and bring plenty of water and a soft mat to sit or lay on.

We’ll review your intentions, answer questions, and help you settle in. You’ll be invited to get comfortable (lying down or seated), and we’ll begin with a few grounding breaths.

During the session

Sounds move through different frequencies and rhythms. You may notice warmth, tingling, emotional release, imagery, or simply a sense of calm. Reiki is offered gently and respectfully to support your energy field.

After the sound bath

We’ll allow time for quiet integration. You’ll leave with simple aftercare suggestions (hydration, rest, journaling) so the benefits can continue unfolding.

Group & private options

What to expect (and what not to expect)

Sound baths are gentle and supportive, but everyone’s experience is unique. Here are helpful expectations and contraindications to keep you comfortable and informed.

Expect: deep relaxation

Many people feel calmer, grounded, and more present—sometimes within minutes.

Expect: a unique inner experience

You might notice emotions, memories, or imagery. Or you may simply rest—both are perfect.

Expect: subtle energetic shifts

Reiki and sound may support a sense of balance, clarity, and ease over time.

Not a performance or concert

This is a meditative wellness experience—no need to “do it right.” Rest and receive.

Not a substitute for medical care

Sound meditation and Reiki are complementary practices and do not diagnose or treat medical conditions.

Contraindications / caution

Please consult your healthcare provider if you have sound sensitivity, a history of seizures/epilepsy, severe PTSD triggers, or are in early pregnancy. If you have a pacemaker or implanted medical device, let us know so we can modify instruments and volume.
